New planning laws

Having just filled 2 skips full of soil etc removed for footings to a new extension on our house it seems my mate Sir David Cameron has relaxed the law . Instead of the 3 metre rule it now seems you can go out up to 8 metres . Great for us but I think it could cause problems with neighbours who are going to have to live next door to some pretty big eyesores .

Well said sir;

Looking at some of the new houses around our area, an extension of 8M will just about fill the plots!!

Forget school playing fields, (not really...JIC ) the kids won't have anywhere to play in their own back gardens !!

Got to get away; spending too much time on these forums!

cheers

Look out of the window of an aeroplane and you begin to see how much of the land area in Britain is undeveloped - over 90%

There must be a conspiracy to stop building and keep up property prices.

Cram all the plebs into a small area so they fight like rats in a sack.

Divide and Rule.

Two sayings spring to mind, the working man is his own worst enemy and divide and conquer( the Tory edict) keep the working man fighting amongst themselves and they will get no where. Welfare benefits we get today have not been given us willingly they have been hard fought for, the Tory way of thinking is give the working man down on his uppers nothing. You can see it ever day on this forum, members who are well heeled hate the thought of someone claiming welfare benefits.

I suspect your use of the term 'working man' is the nub of the dissenting voices. If someone has worked then yes they are entitled to claim their dues, but if not...............? As for property prices this is an issue that has been encouraged by all political parties as it benefits themselves. There are currently more than enough empty properties up and down the country to house all those in need, but they may not be in the desired place, so what do you do? One pundit also recently made the claim that the number of 'affordable' houses the Government wanted to build almost exactly matched net immigration. Curious that.

I also question the inference that the Tory Party is the sole cause for complaint. It is curious how many Labour supporters bought their council houses, and do not wish to give them up.
