Presumably you mean SERVICING STOP, you may want to read this.

Only postng as I found it. To be honest I think you would be better to phone around local independent garages and ask for cost and vet them.

Alternative view, just to present a different option:

Why don't more people service their vans themselves?

Basic servicing is utterly NOT difficult, technical engineering.

It really is a piece of cake to do the basic stuff like oil & filter change, air filter change, pollen filter change etc.

Also easy-peasy on vans to check brake pads for thickness, and lube what very little still needs lubing on modern vehicles.

And you can tell whether your wiper blades need replacing, just by using the damn things!

At the same time, you're then learning about your van, you're looking at/checking other parts of it, and saving a LOT of money; and actually doing the jobs RIGHT.

Just get a Haynes manual, or the Fiat "E-Learn" workshop manual software package (available from the Fiat owners forum link)...........

Thanks BDG what you say is perfectly correct,i have been a service engineer most of my life, but not in the motor trade, trouble is, now i am in my 70s i get stuck underneath my van and my missus has a hell of a job pulling me out and has threatened that next time she will leave me there and get a newer model!!! thanks Dave

This is waht I posted on a previous thread when we had a 2010 Ford based Flash 04:

Just as a 'price' comparison, we're having the 2nd year base vehicle service shortly at a main Ford agent, they were going to charge a fair bit more than an independent garage, but have agreed to just undercut it (£215 inc VAT if I recall correctly), which also includes the replacement of the brake fluid (mandatory) and the paint warranty check FOC (which HAS to be done by a Ford dealer). Not a bad price for a main dealer - but obviously I wouldn't have got this price if I hadn't rung them back to cancel the provisional booking I'd made and asked the 'price match' question - so its worth asking sometimes!

So I'd suggest you do a bit of 'haggling' with your Fiat dealer as they may do the same.

BTfleet have a garage in Worcester, might be worth looking at. Not sure where you are in W'shire but they also have garages in Shrewsbury and Goucester. Then there is Davel Newell in Telford http://www.davenewell.co.uk/ and he has a very good reputation and good pricing and you could take a run over to his place and stay on a nearby campsite for a small breakaway and visit Ironbridge.

If you have any Habitation checks or repairs needing done he can do them as well.

I have just collected our Auto trail 2 Ltr Ducato from a full 18,000 mile service and MoT at a local commercial garage that specialises in Land Rovers

On top of the service they had to renew the rear brake cylinders, windscreen washer jet and air filter bracket. The total cost was £436 inc £39.50 for the MoT.

I thought it was expensive but looking at the breakdown the labour charge was only £157.

Yes I could have done the work myself but do I want to be crawling under the van for a couple of days with break fluid running down my sleeves and muck in my eyes and then worrying that it might not pass the MoT. I did all my own car maintanance for over 30 years, I am fortunate that I can afford to let someone else do it now. And so doing keep other people in work.
