I haven't used this particular one but some time ago I got a "GoSim" which was similarly advertised.

The problem with it is that, although you save by getting "free" incoming calls, the caller has to ring a "foreign" mobile number to call you. As anyone ringing us was likely to be an elderly mother / in law they would be the one's stung for the cost.

We used up the credit that came with it and then ditched it.

Just had a look at their site yes you can have a UK number or a local number in country of your choice. With a UK number it's free to receive calls in Europe but to make calls it's 34p/min dearer than most UK networks since charges dropped in July.

My network is 28p/min to make calls & 7p/min to receive, I think most networks are similar as they have been capped by the EU. If I want to make a long call I seek out some free wifi and use Skype or Viber.

If you are looking at long distance travel far cheaper to buy a local sim.

Contacted Toggle and got this reply

"Thank you for your email.

With regards to your query, please find the following rates in order to use the sim card Spain,

With local access number:

To make calls to UK landline & Mobile: £0.15/min

To receive calls: £0/min

Outgoing SMS: £0.09(one text includes 160 Characters)

Incoming SMS: 0£

Without local access number:

To make calls to UK landline & Mobile: £0.34/min

To receive calls: £0/min

Outgoing SMS: £0.010(one text includes 160 Characters)

Incoming SMS: £0"

So if you use the Spanish number it costs 15p per/min

How's this compare to other????????????

Dave
