camocam1 Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 i have tried this on the swift web forum with no real joy so hope someone can advise I have a 07 ace milano and under the luton are 4 small rectangular holes (just under the bend above the cab) which I believ were for streching the sheeting ??? Almost evrytime that it has been raining and I move the van water comes out the holes, I dont think these are drainage holes but cant see where the water can be getting in anyone got any suggestions as too where the water is coming from
Derek Uzzell Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 A shot in the dark, but I suspect that rainwater simply finds its way through the holes into the area behind them and, when you move the vehicle, the water (or at least some of it!) drains back out through the holes. Water has an ability to 'stick' to horizontal surfaces, essentially defying gravity. This is noticeable in heavy rain with my Hobby, when rainwater will run down the vertical face of the overcab moulding's side, then will form into a rivulet that will cross the horizontal underside of the moulding towards the cab door.
