Pete-B
When I bought my new Bessicarr back in July the guy showed me what to do when, and if, I lay it up for winter and said " I would always suggest, and he showed me how, to take the water pump out. The reason being he said, "they are expensive to replace if water freezes in them. It's so simple to do just two push fit pipes and two screws and it was out in less than a few minutes. :-)
Cliffy
My Autotrail has a Posi-Flo pump, after draing the water from the hot and cold pipes and blowing down the taps and shower. I disconected the pipes either side of the pump then unscrewed the filter bowl by hand and an egg cup full of water came out. This could have been enough to go damage to the pump and/or the filter. Another tip is, if you have an external shower point,. After draining down, push the shower hose momentarily in to the snap in socket to realease the trapped water in the supply pipe and van side fitting.
