loxley108
Hi Having given up on air beds, we have ordered an Outwell Posadas double camping bed and am now looking for a pair of self inflating mats to go on it. I have got these choices: Thermarest 2nd hand Basecamp L's for £100 total - might not be thick enough to go above the middle bar? Vango DLX 5cm for £70 - big pack size Ultrasport 10cm for £60 - bit of a gamble? Outwell Serenity 7cm for £80 - got no idea how the Outwell ones compare to others on the market. Was also looking at Dozer's but they are out of stock at Alpkit and I don't think they can be bought anywhere else? If anyone on the forum has any info or rec's that would be so helpful. Thanks so much!
pdaniels
Hi, We too have the Posadas camp beds. As a couple of a 'certain age' with grandchildren we decided the camp beds are a bit hard so we needed a decent mat or matress. So, after much research, we bought the Gelert Adventure XL 10cm from Campmania at £47.99 each. We used then for the first time a couple of weeks ago and found them to be really comfortable and stable on the camp bed. They provide good insulation too. They are a bit bulky and quite heavy, but they come with their own carry bag. Overall though, we consider them a good buy!
