Norbert
Hello. First time here although I always enjoy reading the advice and abuse. Anyway, I am off to watch the Tour de France and am collecting a mate from Lyon airport before we head off to Alpe d’Huez. As far as I can see the car parks are too low for the motorhome. What do I do apart from making him catch the train or bus? I know the long stay is an option but not at 37.50. Thanks in advance.
Guest JudgeMental
I come across this most years as my kids normally fly out to meet us (not in Lyon). We just park where we can and text or call them and they come out and meet us wherever I manage to park up....If we are early I stop away from the airport until they are on the ground as security may well move you on.... Have a look on google maps (satellite view) and there is a fuel station in one direction and an Ibis hotel in the other where you could wait....then when he arrives drive in. Muswell
What I have done to avoid parking fees is to wait nearby and then, when they have cleared baggage etc., they phone and I drive to the pick-up area.
