We always thought that biggest was best, and this was reflected in our choice of vans, but a couple of years ago we had a rethink. We started by looking at pvc's, found them relatively quite expensive and small inside and sort of wandered into looking at smaller coachbuilts, which in turn brought us to look at a small A class, and we felt that it offered us as much space as our previous vans, but within a 6 metre length.

We started with an elderly Hymer which we loved, a real oldie but goodie, and only changed it for a Pilote Galaxy when we saw one that we liked even more. We love our Pilote and find that there is generally no place that we can't go within reason. It is quiet and comfortable, good on fuel, and so pleasant to live in.

All vans are a compromise, but it must be worth a look before you make a decision.
