rapidoman
Off to spain for 6 weeks and other half loading all but the kitchen sink. Worry sets in is it overladen? Now semi retired have had the time to find a weighbridge and double check, we are well inside our laden weight even with electric bikes on dedicated rack. Moral of this tale, why stress and worry I recommend everyone takes time to do this little chore it leads to a more restful holiday to know if your stopped you have a certificate dated current to prove your ok . Tracker
Well done for doing the right thing but having a certificate of weight on any one day is not like an MOT that is valid for one year! If you do get stopped, which is in itself highly unlikely according to some, and they weigh the van and you are over you will still get done - or not in your case as you are under the limit - assuming both axles are also within their individual axle limits of course? Meanwhile have a cracking and relaxed trip.
sshortcircuit
Going from Dover I keep in the very left hand lane that the lorries use and get a weight docket. Useful piece of info
Guest peter
An M.O.T only certifies that the van is roadworthy at the time it's tested. If the next day it's found to have faults that would fail you would be liable to prosecution.

Useful piece of info Yea very useful, if overweight you can then unload all the surplus and leave it on the dock.
