Or you could go to Warwick and then over to France for a few days?

The last time we were in France in August it was hot and very busy close to the coast but much quieter inland with plenty of space on Aires and presumably camp sites too?

You can book a ferry online as long as they have a few hours notice so no need to advance book.

Whatever you decide - have a good trip, enjoy and be safe.

It's a no brainier why would you want to stay in the most unfriendly Motorhome country in Europe when you could go to France the most friendly Motorhome country in Europe. Then of course there is the weather, far better chance of better weather in mainland Europe.

Maybe because there are some pretty interesting places to visit in the UK? And perhaps seeing and visiting such places are motives for touring in a particular area, as opposed to simply “being in a motorhome”?

Yes but if you can't park to look at the interesting places there is not much point, not only parking try finding somewhere to spend the night without having to plan in advance and make loads of phone calls only to end up nowhere near where you want to be. UK is fine in a caravan but hopeless in a Motorhome.

We have about 16 nights starting Wed.We could stay in Britain and I could go to the big western riding show in Warwrick and then tour in other places in Britain OR we could go to France.STILL can't make up our minds.

Just shows how times have changed.

16 nights doesn't sound long now does it.

Way back in the days when our annual holidays totalled two weeks, we went on our first tour of the continent - toured 6 countries in two weeks ! ( with tents ).

Our plans these days tend to be to go for the longer trips while we can - we can always do the U.K. later - ( if we can find somewhere to park ! )

have a good trip.

:-D
