Guest Tony Jones Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 I also have had the 5th gear failure at 19k miles, Westcountry Motorhomes who sold me the van said contact Fiat UK. Fiat will not talk to you and refer you to your nearest Fiat dealer, my nearest Fiat dealer refered me to Westcountry Motorhomes etc. Please refer to the Editor: What about this Magazine MMM, I notice very little comment from the editor, surely you must have an interest in this, if only from your readers point of view. Ed. what are you doing about this? Have you used your clout to get an answer to these problems? If joint effort is required to get to the bottom of this then surely you must be one of the people to head it. Or is it advertising takes precedence over reader's.
Guest Docted Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 Tony Your recourse is always through the seller not anyone else. Go back to West Country and insist they look after their customer, they took the original profit on the deal and they have their legal responsibilities as well. Docted
Guest RayJ Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 Yet another nail in the Coffin that is Fiat's Reputation. Buy a New or Nearly New Sevel Based M/H,for 'Megabucks' while this Fiasco goes on. NO WAY JOSE....I'll hang on to my 'Old Bus' for a few more years (by then Fiat will have either 'gone bust' or like Lancia stopped exporting them, because their name has become synonimous with Crxp!) Why do people carry on buying them ?? There ARE other base Vehicles(not nearly enough granted) RayJ
