anesta
Hi, I am looking to buy some mats for my Hymer, built on a 2007 Ford Transit. Does anybody know which mats I should be getting for that version of the Transit? There are so many on the internet, I don't know which one would fit! Thank you
Derek Uzzell
Your motorhome is a 2007 Hymer Camp 622 CL coachbuilt design and I assume the mats you want are to go in the cab area. There are two sorts of mat - the type that will cover the complete cab floor (examples below) http://www.carmats-uk.com/791/ford-transit-mk7?utm_source=googlebase&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=CIupkoHLi7oCFY7LtAodO1QAHQ#black http://www.mrcarmats.com/p/368/ford-transit-car-mats Or you can obtain individual (rubber) mats that fit in the footwells. For example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-GENUINE-FORD-TRANSIT-2006-on-Rubber-Floor-Mats-/200880095326 It may well be that some (most?) 'complete cab floor' type of mat will have a cut-away for a handbrake-lever fitted between the driver and passenger seats, whereas many Transit Mk 7-based motorhomes will have the handbrake-lever in the driver's-side door-well. I don't see why any of these mats should be a poor fit but, if you wanted to minimise that risk, you could check with a Ford dealership what 'genuine' Ford mats are available for a Mk 7 Transit. If you opt for individual mats, you'll need to ensure that the one in the driver's-side footwell cannot move about and tangle up with the steering column's lower joint.
