Tony Smith
I've purchased a new motorhome (Bessacarr E710 on a Fiat Ducato 15 base) and am leaving for France in three weeks time. I've tried to buy headlamp covers to alter the beam for driving on the right but acording to the Fiat dealer there are none in the country. The now sounds silly but I can't find any information about masking the headlights to acheive the correct beam. Obviously, I can use trial and error but has anyone any ideas for a simple solution for this trip?

djchapple
If it is a modern van then it will have plastic and not glass covers. These usually do not have any marks showing where to fit such a kit as described above. There are companies with web sites selling headlamp protectors often marked for masking when driving on the wrong side of the road. Try using Google. Tony Smith
Thanks. It is a modern vehicle with plastic headlights. I'm also told that sticking a masking kit on the plastic might damage the surface. I'll try Google.

lemairrn
Peugeot sell Headlamp protectors with the area marked for European driving, price about £30. you can either leave them on in UK to save lights from stone damage and peel off the beam deflectos or just take them off. Tony Smith
Thanks for your help. I now have a pair of continental protectors from Formula 4x4 which will do the job. And I don't even have to visit Tesco and get involved in what I'm told is real shoppoing!
