It is not a practice used by other internet sellers They don't get the money from a CC straight away, so why not.They have to wait for it to be refunded from credit company, and some of the buyers, may not be good for it. I thought the books were a bit thinner, so checked nos of sites printed on the covers - on that basis there's over 200 extra sites compared to last year.
