malc d
Just been putting my spare away into the cradle under the back of my van and found it useful to use the jack as a ' third hand ' to support / and raise the weight while re-engaging the holding clips. ( Many of you may have thought of that already - but I hadn't ! ) Made things quite a bit easier. ;-)
fjmike
Good tip Malc. I wonder how many motorhome owners have tried to remove their spare wheel. On my previous van before a long trip abroad I thought it wise to have a dummy run on the drive at home. Good job I did as the wheel could not be dropped because of a chassis cross member in the way. Imagine finding that out on a cold dark night in the middle of nowhere.
