robinS
My son is cycling from Lands End later in 2014 and wants me to be his "back up van" and mobile bed. I think it will be fun - anyone any advice on route and pitfalls ?

colin
I've seen quite a few along the Cornwall/Devon stretch of the A30, this IMO is a very dangerous road to be cycling, My adise would be find an alternative. This is from last year, and I'm not in the least surprised. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2355623/Lorry-driver-held-cyclists-killed-hours-starting-Lands-End-John-OGroats-ride.html

There are organised cycle trips for novices (me) and out and out road racers, they include accomodation and food but are very expensive £2k + so I've got some saving to do if I wish to pursue this ambition!!
