Diezel
chrismacgowan - 2006-09-04 7:35 PM Anyone able to suggest a motorhome friendly site in Wiltshire or Berkshire near a pub/restaurant?
May be a bit late late now but try The Three Magpies Pub at Sells Green near Seend/Devizes Wiltshire. You can i believe stay behind the pub or just a stones throw away there is a campsite. Dunno if it`s CC or C&CC but it is well placed for the pub and right by the side of the Kennet and Avon canal. Excellent pub grub not pretentious just good honest fare with entertainment most nights. Regards
Delfin Driver
Hi Christopher Just seen your post. We stayed at a very nice site called Piccadilly near Laycock in Wilts last weekend. Privately owned with a reasonable number of hardstandings and good sanitary facilities. Also very attractively landscaped. The National Trust village of Laycock is a 10 minute walk from the site and it has a number of tea shops, restaurants and pubs. All in all a very pleasant place to visit. You will need to check end of season closure date though. Delfin D
