(lol) ..I do like his style sparks...

Quote (from link)

"But after reporting the theft to police and fearing he would not see his possession again, he received a phone call from a suspicious man asking for a charger for a Go Cycle.

He then managed to track down the caller - and paid him a visit in a 1970s army truck with three of his friends......" >:-)

(..although the problem now, is that he'll probably just get his windows bricked in..... :-S ).

They do a folder at 15.6 kg battery included (it's in the frame)

What e-bike is that?

Keep up Mel!

One of these of course!

I want one!

Cheers,

Colin.

Ah, I see, I didn't read the newpaper article hence didn't know that's what you were on about. We had the chance of a couple of Gocycles (1st version) at £750 each localish to us but they had NiMi batteries which could not be bought so if we needed one we'd then have to buy the upgrade kit at £415!!!!

I love the design of them but they are not folders, more like dismantlers, and I'd be too worried to leave them anywhere in case someone nicked bits off them! 8-)

Just tested this one today, collecting tomorrow with £350 off latest Bosch system and 400wh battery, uprated saddle, posh grips and bar ends and a neat pair of small light panniers. Sweet.

Might be able to keep up with OH up hills!

it weights 25Kg, both our Bosch bikes under 20Kg. and I hope its the latest "performance" motor and not the stock "classic"

Yes, latest performance system. 20kg without battery, easily lifted onto MH. Could have save a couple of kilo by having fixed forks, tried both models and was happy with suspension model. Yes, some bikes at 20kg all up but at three times the price (or more). Haibike Xduro £6k nice but a step too far for my usage.

quality of equipment looks pretty basic, hence the weight I guess,,,they dont even say what derailleur they fit, cheap shocks not worth having. Plenty of lighter better spec bikes around for 2K especially if you buy in Germany.... Another word of caution the new system is not without its problems, so make sure you buy from a local dealer with an established reputation for support!

they are generally an OK manufacturer, but the spec on this one seems poor, sprung shocks with 50mm travel? plenty with far better air shocks around at that price point with silky smooth XT gear sets as well. the weight set alarm bells ringing to be honest as it shouts poor spec......its your money..but a lighter bike has better handling and performance on hills + ridiculous to compare with a 6K Haibike. My 3K Haibike was delivered for under £1500 purchased as an end of season sale....

edit: you can see the different specs more clearly on the Gepda site....not all 2014 versions have the performance drive. but some lighter bikes on there
