Flying Snail
I have recently obtained an Auto-sleeper Symphony and it suffers from rattles. I´ve got the cooker well padded and the only things I? left with as suspects arethe blinds. I´ve tried a few things to deaden the noises but without total success. Is there something l could do without dismantling the whole unit? Any ideas gratefully accepted. I
Billggski
I thought this was a music thread, ho, ho!, but the usual answer is to get used to it and turn the radio up. You can get paranoid about squeaks and rattles, The more you search for noises, the more you find.

I Auto-Sleepers built the "Symphony" model for many years, on two different panel-van chassis, and may well have used different blinds over that long period of time. So it might help if you provide the year of manufacture of your motorhome. I note that the ASOC offers two ratlling-blind-related 'ideas sheets' to members http://www.asoc.uk.com/tech_group/ideas_sheets.htm These links may help http://www.autosleeper-ownersforum.com/t2104-rattling-window-blind-on-trooper http://www.motorhomefacts.com/ftopic-13873-days0-orderasc-0.html but some types of blind seem prone to rattles and some don't. Archiesgrandad
When I saw the words "rattle" and "symphony" in one thread I too thought of Simon, and then drifted on to thoughts of a "Football Symphony" from a bygone age. AGD
Caddies104
Hi We also have a Symphony, and the biggest rattle was the metal splash covers on the cooker hood, and as you said the blinds occasionally but the Radio is a good answer!!!
Tracker
Try renaming it Cacophony! The best way is to have someone else drive it over rough and bumpy roads whilst you sit in the back and fiddle with various bits until what ever you do silences the racket. Then all you have to do is devise an ingenious way of replicating that action with anything suitable that comes to hand - bits of wood as wedges, foam plastic, draught excluder, elastic bands, velcro, odd bits of carpet or floor covering etc. I find that double sided tape is a good way of fixing anti rattle pads into place. But do be aware that every time you silence a loud rattle you then be able to hear the quieter ones that the loud one was masking! Welcome to the crazy world of motorhomes where everything rattles because it was designed to be used in a towed caravan where nobody can hear the racket! George Collings
The easy answer is for the conductor to wear ear defenders.
