lynandie
Hi everyone. Thinking about installing a roof mounted air con unit for our MH. We will be touring southern France and Spain soon, so we thought we would get one fitted into the bedroom roof so we can get a good night's sleep. I have heard a few comments that they can be noisy especially to other motorhomes near by!! Any advise please. Thanks B-) Andie.
Billggski
They are quite heavy as well, check your potential payload. I considered it but not enough spare weight.
Guest JudgeMental
Been there done that and never again! if your happy to sleep in a fridge with all windows doors and blinds shut up so that a/c works! and on top of that there is the noise! It sounds like a nice idea but its not...Better bring a fan or 2 and let your body acclimatize to the heat, it really only takes a day or two...... thebishbus
There was one on our van when we bought it ,found it too noisy to use at night, it drew 4 amps and would trip some low amp hook ups. it weighted 39 kg. Removed it and fitted a much more useful roof fan in the hole Brian B
