normangilroy
My omni step only rises but will not fall. I removed the motor and tested it with a battery. It works one way and when I reverse the polarity it works the other way. The motor works. I put a multimeter on the two feed electric wires to the motor. When I press UP I get 12.5 V positive and when I press DOWN I get 12.5 V negative. Button and electric wires seem to work. However when I put the feed wires onto the motor, it will only turn to lift the step but not to drop it. I do not understand why it does not work. thebishbus
Hi. It could be a high resistance connection in the wiring or the switch itself. You may get the 12 volt reading off load but when the motor is connected the high resistance could drop the power right down. Brian B.
thebishbus
Hi again. I forgot to mention that the high resistance could be at the relay connections or contacts. Brian B.
