Bojitoes Posted August 24, 2014 Share Posted August 24, 2014 Hi Off to Germany for a few weeks shortly and will need to buy a data sim card to fit into my unlocked dongle. Does anyone know the procedure in Germany/ Is it the same as Spain where you have to provide an address or can you just go into a supermarket and buy one? Last time we were there we used site wifi / bars when available but this time I will need to have access to the net on a daily basis/ Any suggestions? We bought a SIM in Italy last year, on our return this year we could not add more credit so had to buy another. Turns out the contract was for 12 months, but if you add credit (can be done online from UK) before the 12 months date is up SIM keeps going, and operational for another year, (saving you paying for a new SIM and running around finding a shop). Like mobile providers in the UK, some perform better then others in different locations (some not at all!) so shop carefully.... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
