starvin marvin
What are the advantages/disadvantages of longer length v's standard length external windscreen covers on a Fiat 2008 cab, if any?
mildi
I have the standard cover but I think the longer is better as it keeps all the crap out if the gulley ( or whatever it's called).
maggyd
We cover ours with the longer one as it stands over winter and the engine used to have loads of snow and ice through the grill at the front.
Solwaybuggier
I did ask them once at Silverscreens about the longer length covers. Their view is that the longer length means an air gap where they go over the wipers, whereas the shorter length (which they sell) fit more closely to the glass. I've no idea how much of a difference that makes, and whether it's outweighed by having cover over the air vents, but that's what they said. tonyishuk
I would go for long ones. We keep the screens on all the time when the m/home is standing in store, before we had longer screens all sorts of stuff found its way into the tray where the wipers are, eventually blocking up the drain holes. The Taylor - Made screens have magnetic ""hedgehogs"" ( pouches with velcro on) to hold the screen down onto the bonnet, stopping the scren lifting in the wind.
