MagHal
Does anyone know of any campsites they could recommend in or near very near Orleans good for a few nights? I am planning on going around end of June 1st week July next year. Any other advice for camping in Orleans greatly appreciated. Hal
BrianBW
When you get to France try and get the 'Le Guide Officiel Camping Caravaning' book which details almost all campsites in France. Can also be obtained in the UK. To answer you query, try the Municipal at Olivet. just SOUTH of Orleans and close to the A71 Olivet junction. Just left there, it has all facilities, including water and drainage on pitches.
JohnP
Would recommend camping at Salbris. By lake and just south of Orleans
LordThornber
There's a lovely Municipal site at Olivet. Easy traffic free cycling into Orleans or public transport at the site. Couldn't fault the site at all, highly recommended. Martyn
MagHal
Thanks to all respondents. The Olivet Municipal is ideal and right next to the university where I have to go. Hal
