colin
Failing finding anywhere closer, there is a campsite just a few hundred yards from Sandy station, this has two trains per hour into London.
sheer lunar-see
Try Roydon, near to Harlow, used to live there many years ago, but can't comment now as things have moved on a bit, but worth a google.

Rayjsj
Or you could stay on the Ashridge Farm CC site in Ashwell nr Baldock. and catch the train in from the Ashwell & Steeple Morden Station. Close to the site. Ray
teflon2
You could try the campsite at theobalds park C&CC site open all year and there is a railway station at Theobalds Grove not sure how to get there as I haven't used that particular site but it's not far a taxi shouldn't be too expensive if there is no bus. Phone the site and they will be able to help you. John
Bojitoes
Lee Valley camp site. A municipal site with good facilities. Bus from the entrance takes you to the station and you can be in central London in 40 mins. We have used it twice and if it is North London you need to go to this is definitely the site good luck bob
