If money is no object it will doubtless be possible to improve on what is available off the shelf but if you have little or limited experience of motoromes your novice ideas will almost inevitably lead you into mistakes you will discover later. In order to make the best of the payload of available chassis, the techniques and materials of modern factory production are very helpful.

I was impressed by the Hymer Duomatic but if you looked closely at the arrangement for the front bed and the steps provided to get into were a bit Heath Robinson and their development has some way to go. The same basic layout (of drop down single beds up front and a comfortable lounge at the rear) has been offered by other builders for some time.

You might want to have a look at the Pheonix and Concorde models on mobile.de and also the Frankia and Knaus offers.
