I've been corresponding with DVLA over recent weeks via my MP about the unnecessary obstacles involved in personal importing of vehicles within the EU. Writing to your MP, who then forwards your letter to someone senior, who has to reply. You can then follow up and challenge any nonesense they come up with and we're currently on round two. Your MP wonlt let you be silly about anything of course, so it has to be reasonable criticism - this has much more impact that writing directly to complain to DVLA yourself. One of the points I raised was an inordinately slow response time. It was taking a professional importer I know 8-10 weeks to get applications processed before Christmas.
