Archiesgrandad
Doesn't it depend on how the beam pattern changes when you dip them. On UK headlights there is a kick-up to the left when you dip, but on continental vehicles of the same model there may not be a kick-up and they are acceptable on both sides of the Channel. Our LHD Suzuki GV was first registered in Belgium, then UK, then Greece, and now back to UK, all without changing the light units. AGD
lennyhb
Your Exsis has the Almond Eyes lamps behind the fancy exterior they are standard Hella projector lamps. There is a lever in the back of the light unit just turn as far as it will move and it will set them to flat dipping which is legal in the UK on imported vehicle. Our LHD Suzuki GV was first registered in Belgium, then UK, then Greece, and now back to UK, all without changing the light units. AGD This VCA document applies to motorhomes imported to the UK http://tinyurl.com/ocnbcgk For UK registration VCA advises as follows regarding headlamp acceptability: "That the headlamps are UK specification (headlight beam dips to the left). Note: stickers, beam-benders / deflectors are not acceptable. We can accept any one of the following options: a) UK specification, left dipping, headlights that are used in replacement of the original factory fitted headlights b) Original factory fitted UK specification headlights (dipping left as standard) c) Original factory fitted headlights that are, through a standard feature of the vehicle, adjustable so that the beam can be changed from right dipping to left dipping d) Original factory fitted flat-beam headlights (we can not accept a right dipping beam that is adjusted to flat-beam unless that is a standard feature of the vehicle, e.g. done via operation of a lever)” If your LHD Suzuki GV has right-dipping headlamps, it does not comply with UK-registration requirements. lennyhb
The VCA requirement for headlamps only came into force a few years ago (I think 2011) if Bill's Suzuki was imported before then it would have been OK, although technically illegal they never used to enforce like they do now.
