Caddies104
Keithl - 2015-05-31 10:13 AM Caddies104 - 2015-05-31 9:56 AM But even the subtitle has changed back, so how will you know there is a new post? One for OAAL to sort out perhaps! Take part of that back, now has gone back to 8/9 of 44, confused!? It depends which button you click when replying, let me explain... If you click 'Quote' or 'Reply' within the last post or any previous post then the title will be as that post. If however you click 'Post Reply' from BELOW the last post then the title will revert to the original. I think I've got that right :-) Keith. Edit. I clicked 'Quote' in the last post and got 'Day 8/9' exactly as I expected :D Keith Well explained, thanks..

Me thinks you need a bit more to do on your hols. Nob This is one reason to go to France than stay in the UK. no respect here. Dont understand where he is on a forum. Plenty of stuff on the net I'm not interested in but I don't post sh+te about it. I quite like seeing any images of places I haven't been to. Hope you're sampling the good wines, pinot noir anyway. Sunseekers2
pelmetman - 2015-05-28 4:19 PM PJay - 2015-05-28 3:30 PM currently in Calpe , pretty busy here, and if Dave Pelmetman reads this, the Mac Donalds is due to open within days now, so will save on cooking the chips! PJay PS keep the photos c oming, some of us like to see them Obviously I was being wound up when I was told it was going to be an upmarket restaurant *-) ............ Even so that's pretty quick building considering they only started digging the footings the end of March ;-) ......... Is that the building they started on the right hand side on the corner as you walk into town. Thats some going. Have won my bet with my mate though with the way the road was laid out it looked like a drive through and I said it would be a fast food outlet. Caddies104
After leaving Annecy (see other thread) we headed northwards towards Paris but stopping first at camping Les Ceriselles in Vincelles (camp cheque 348) The site is alongside a canal so plenty of opportunity for cycling. Has free wifi over the site and as the temperature was 32* in the shade a welcome swimming pool. Has a small bar and snack bar and the pitches flat. Ok as a stop-over.. No pics, sorry Day 27/28/29 We then moved onto Paris stopping at International Maisons Laffitte, (Acsi 1656) we have stayed here before, a few years ago and not very impressed, but some of the latest reviews made us give it another try.. So glad we did, a huge improvement, the recently renovated shower and wash rooms are excellent and warm. The paths and pitches are much improved also, not more pot holes..wifi extra This is a very handy site for visiting Paris, a walk into the lovely town of Maisons Laffitte (plenty of shops, bars and restaurants ) and get the RER train into Paris. Euro 11.5 will get you a return ticket into Paris and the use of all the Metro and buses Pic 1. Pitches are a good size 2. Railway station, not sure why I took it, but hey ho!! 3. The President 4. Not a building but a painted cover hiding the Scaffolding, brilliant!! 5. Louvre, always reminds us of the film Davinci code 6 Eiffel Tower 7 Statue of Liberty, never new this was here, the 3rd one we have seen this year... Caddies104
After Paris we moved onto campsite L'escapade (Acsi 1237) 16euro Had flat pitches, a good toilet block and free wifi at the bar where they also serve very good snacks. The site is beside a lake where fishing is free. Spent a couple of hours fishing only to realise as the well known saying goes 'I'm going to need a bigger boat' , in this case bigger rod and line as the fish to my amazement are very very big!! Moving further north to Cote De Nacre (Acsi 1256) at St Aubin-Sur-Mer, quite a large site, flat pitches with all the usual amenities of a large site including free wifi. Got attracted to this site as only 600 metres from the beach, but with the tide out looks a bit like Weston used to look like on a bad day! Lots of buildings boarded up for some reason, only stopped for one night then moved onto:- La Briquerie (Acsi 1245) 16 Euro, near Honfleur, a 5* site, has free wifi on the pitch, swimming pool, crazy golf, a nice heated and clean toilet block, and a very good restaurant where we had a 3 course meal with a glass of wine for under 20 Euros. A short bike ride takes you into Honfleur where you can soak up the atmosphere if a very beautiful Harbour town. Lots of shops, restaurants and a market on Saturdays. The site has a supermarket just a few hundred metres away Pics of Honfleur and our site
