vindiboy
I bought a RING 12 volt compressor , it takes my van tyres easily up to 75 PSI and will go higher, it cost abou £60 from Amazon but you will waste your money if you buy a cheapy , I will try to post a picture of it.It comes with a long coil of air hose, pressure gauge ,long power cable with crocodile clips abd all in a very vice zip bag, well wotrth getting in my opinion. Derek Uzzell
coot - 2015-06-02 11:14 AM No luck with the search How about this http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/search/query.asp?action=search&searchforumid=all&keywords=inflator&author=derek+uzzell&days=&Submit=Search The Ring RAC900 pump mentioned by earlier forum members performed well in an MMM test and is widely marketed, but there are (at least on paper) superior high output inflators available at a similar price, with "T-Max" and “Britpart” products being popular with 4x4 off-roaders. (It needs saying that a high airflow/high pressure tyre pump will demand a high Amperage, with even the Ring RAC900 taking 23A at maximum power. So don’t expect to run a high-performance pump from an ordinary 12V dashboard ‘plug-in’ socket.)
andy mccord
Correct Derek, Hence the crocodile clips for the battery terminal Andy
Brian Kirby
Another link to earlier compressor/inflator posts here. http://tinyurl.com/oyx7wge Don't know if the source of the 230V version is still trading, but if you can use a 230V compressor it is an excellent bit of kit, and is very quick to top-up pressures on motorhome tyres easily managing the 5 BAR for mine. Rated max pressure 150psi. (sorry for mixed units! :-))
