Norma
I think I remember someone suggesting an Aire in the centre of Paris. Does anyone have any knowledge or advice where to stay centrally. I've just entered the Paris marathon and would like to join in the fun and festivities with friends who will all be flying across. The marathon starts at 8.30am! Roy
I made a note of a suggested overnight place in Paris (can't remember where it was quoted). The place is on riverside at Port Debilly, Avenue de New York near to Eiffel Tower. I cannot vouch for this but it might be worth a look. Otherwise Bois de Bulogne campsite is reasonably handy. Will be interested to hear the outcome. Roy.
Norma
Thanks Roy, that rings a bell. Thought it would be nearer to the start of the race!
Norma
Oh well. On this site it says it is illegal to sleep in you M/H in Paris. It also says you are not allowed to lock your bikes to lamposts... http://www.parisinfo.com/paris_map/rub6231.html&id_article=6758 How do you do the links to websites? robin
The nearest Aire I have seen listed is at Versailles (5Euros a night) - http://www.campingcar-infos.com/index1.htm RN10 Rte de St Cyr 800 m du chateau de versailles Coordonnées GPS vérifiées : Latitude : (N) 48.80235° Décimaux ou 48° 48' 8.46'' Longitude :(E) 002.11446° Décimaux ou 002° 6' 52.056'' I think that is further out than the Bois du Boulogne - cheaper though. *-) *-)
