Guest pelmetman
That's interesting never thought you'd need a pet passport check there :-S ........... What would happen if you crossed into NI ;-) ...........
Bailey
I live in Southern Ireland and have travelled almost every year to the UK with my dog. There isn't any requirement to visit a vet before going from Ireland to the UK. This only applies when travelling from mainland Europe to the UK or Ireland. Billggski
Yup, drove straight on to the ferry and straight off. Nothing extra for the dogs either.
pyrie
You do require a pet passport with rabies vaccine but do not require the trip to the vets for the tapeworm treatment https://www.gov.uk/take-pet-abroad/tapeworm-treatment-dogs Alternatively, head north to Belfast/cairnryan crossing with no pet passport controls!!
