pw9crab Posted July 19, 2015 Author Share Posted July 19, 2015 Thanks for your reply we travelled down to the Algarve last year and the electric tolls were not in place are they now. We are going out on the Portsmouth St Malo in the first week of January hoping to cross into Portugal at Villa Fermosa is this a toll road now do you know we will be traveling west and trying to use no toll roads as we have plenty of time . nomad Posted July 19, 2015 Share Posted July 19, 2015 Hi, the motorway at Vila Formosa is a toll road. what I do is from Salamanca is head for Caceres and stop overnight at the university aire, then head for Badajoz and cross the border there. If you need to fill up etc then there is a motorhome servicepoint at the Intermarche supermarket to the west of the town beside the N4.... 38.87399, -7.18450 There is also a handy free aire at nearby Terrugem if you don't fancy overnighting in the town, the service point is all free, town is a few kms to the west of the Intermarche just off the N4.... 38.84594, -7.34863 Pete Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
