Patricia
I was reminded the other day about fire extinquishers so released mine from the storage frame and searched for a date - in vain! I know that mine is a good few years old so should I change it? There is a dial on it and that looks fine i.e. in the green.
Brock
My understanding is that you should shake a powder extinguisher upside down twice a year because the powder settles [i don't!]. If after this, the gauge is still in the green it should be OK. A fire extinguisher should be good for at least 5 years and a quality one for at least ten years. Patricia
Thank you very much for that advice which I have followed and the needle is still in the centre of the green. Will try to remember to test occasionally in future.
