Guest bill h Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 In another subject someone asked about this. I find that using socket appliances either way the vehicle battery is always the higher reading of the two when checking, which of course it should be to maintain enough starting power. bill h
Brambles Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Hi, If you are referring to the voltage when connecting a load (appliance) the vehicle battery will give a higher reading. This is because of the difference in characteristic between automotive starter batteries and leisure batteries. Under no load comditions both should read the same for the same %age charge left in the battery.
