Also remove and drain the plastic *bowl (filter?) from the pump(*if it has one). If it's standing unused for a while, if you want to be thorough, you could think of doing something along these lines?... http://keepfloeing.com/products-motorhome.html (..on our last van, I was able to easily access the feed pipe from the on-board tank and pressurize it from there, so didn't need that kit..and it was surprising just how much water still came out of the, supposedly fully drained down, system).
