manxli
Hi Just looking at alternatives to return from GB to Europe and chanced on Britanny Ferries 'economy' service from Portsmouth to Le Havre overnight. Looks OK but you have to tick a box to confirm that one understands that it is a 'cut down' service. What does that mean? Anybody had good or bad experiences? The price is certainly good. violet1
Look down a few threads at 'economie or cruise' think it probably answers your question.

RubyExsis
September outward journey calm, overnight cabin surprisingly good. Aware that there seemed limited seating areas Came back last Saturday afternoon, definitely struggled for good seating out of bar area (that was also busy). Food was good and good value with plenty of spare tables in restaurant. We thought ship was not as good in the 'swell' as the more expensive cruise ship crossing and as we prefer the better ambience that they seem to offer especially as we prefer daytime crossing, we probably would not use the economie again ( even though prices are significantly lower)
