Can anyone recommend a good UK Fiat parts supplier to source a new, realistically priced starter motor for a 2007 fiat ducato 3 litre diesel manual . Am told that i have to wait at least three weeks for the next container load to arrive in OZ and expect to pay $AU500 .. I tracked down several SM's across Australia but costs range from $660 to $1500 for genuine. There are starter motors for the 3l diesel advertised on Ebay UK for 80 pounds plus 38 pound postage, but that supplier won't answer my emails. Suggestions?

Here in Southampton we have a company called Mayday Supplies. they supply parts for all vehicles. a little while ago I needed a new starter motor for my Hymer Ducato and got it from them same day collection by me , so I see little difficulty in you sourcing a starter for your needs ?

We specialise in Motorhome Electronics which we ship around the World, often to stranded Motor home owners on holiday abroad.

We also rebuild Alternators, Starters and supply new.

Shipped a rebuilt Citroen HY Starter Motor to Victoria last week.

We would need the engine number to quote accurately but as a rough guide a Fiat 3.0hdi (or similar), 2006 onwards, would be £110 + £64 shipping (assuming the Fiat Starter will be similar weight to the Citroen one we sent out and that you are not too far from a major Airport).

This is not Bosch, but a far eastern copy from a manufacturer we use a lot. 12 months warranty.
