Deesider
The vehicle battery in our Ducato failed recently. The drivers cab door and habitation door could be locked with the key. As there is no key lock on the cab passenger door and the central locking system was not usable because there was no battery, the door could not be locked. Is there any way round this? We have added dead locks on our cab doors, on the inside, locked with a key. My husband has a thing about security PJay
Robinhood
....try this: http://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/manual-cab-door-locking.19932/ (there is another later thread confirming this works, after using a key a bit smaller than the ignition key to prod around). Haven't tried it, but the hole is still there on my X/290.
Derek Uzzell
I can confirm from practical experience that it’s possible to manually lock the cab passenger-side door of a Ducato X290 using the ‘prodding about in the hole’ approach.
