Jonboymentalhealth Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Hi all I have a swift escape 624, the battery is in side locker but it is accessible from under seat. It is connected to 120 w solar panel, my question is how easy is it for someone with limited dig skills to connect a 2nd battery? It was new battery this time last year Thanks
Tracker Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Not difficult as far as diy skills go. What is more important is a knowledge of how electricity works, particularly 12 volt dc, cable sizes, fuses, connection options and suitability. There are many opinions on how best to connect a second battery but I have always followed the preferred example 2 in the attached. http://caravanchronicles.com/guides/how-to-connect-two-batteries-in-parallel/

Billggski Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Any opinions about the capacity of the alternator to charge up three batteries (engine plus two leisure)?
