tp002c784tp002c784tp
Hi Leisure Batteries ( Again) I am hunting for two new leisure batteries for my Lunar Roadstar and they are both under the front seats so size is limited, I have been searching on line and it's a minefield, one battery that could do the job and I would be able to go up to 100ah from 85ah, but they are Calcium I have read quite a lot about these batteries but still cannot make my mind up if they are a good buy. I have done a forum search and cannot find any discussion about Calcium batteries has any member used or is using them and can they tell what sort of problems you are likley to have as against the normal lead /Acid Battery. Derek Uzzell
Assuming the dimensions are OK, just install a pair of Varta LFD90 batteries. http://www.varta-automotive.com/en-gb/products/leisure/professional-dual-purpose/ These are maintenance-free. They can be fitted with a vent-tube and - because they would be under the cab-seats - it would be sensible to do so.
BrianBW
Nice one Dereck, I like the described functions. ' Can be used as a starter battery ' Just replaced mine with the decribed function, as the 'Leasure battery' would not last 5 hours, using my modified LED lamps for an evenings reading.
