chas
Hi all, I have a Peugeot Boxer 2litre diesel 05 reg and its developed a water leak in the engine compartment. Its coming from a corroded metal tube which is clamped to the bulkhead with rubber hoses attached each end. Looking into the engine bay its to the lower right, does anyone know its function apart from forming a ridged point for the flexable hoses to fix to. The metal tube is curved each end and if it has got a part name or number would be useful. Thanks for any help. (^)
Brambles
Give us better clue, can you tell where the hoses go to or come from? Also what diameter approx are the hoses and pipe? Looking at the parts list and diagrams I am baffled unless it is the pipe at front of engine for radiator coolant.
Caddies104
Long shot but could it be the hose from off the windscreen catching rainwater??
chas
Problem nearly sorted, it turns out it is just a metal tubing fixed to the bulkhead which serves as support for the 2 coolant hoses which attach each side. It has corroded badly and is know leaking. Its a Peugeot part so is quite expensive for what it is, new one on order. Part No 1307XX.
Brambles
This coolant pipe attaches to the front of the gearbox not the bulkhead. It is for the radiator hose.
