tonyg3nwl
Can anyone give an update on the creuse valley. Has it dried out yet. We would still like to route northbound via it when we head homwards in possibly about a week.. what about fuel shortages there , if any thanks Tonyg3nwl
AlanS
Tony Not the Creuse valley but we have travelled from Neufchatel en Bray, north of Rouen down to Saumur via Amboise and no problems with fuel with all stations open and that is on a Sunday, however petrol was not always available at some. There are lots of lorries stacked up by the roadside throughout our journey, I know it is Sunday but will they be trying to fill up tomorrow ? We tried to get to a site near Montrichard on the Cher and 'deviations' everywhere and the Cher and Loire are in a right old mess and the surrounding areas. The Cher is so wide now that we couldn't cross anywhere so we backtracked to Amboise and took the by-pass to the A85 and onto Saumur. It is going to take a very long time for sites near these rivers to get back to normal. Alan
