geoff47
I have an autohomes avalon and the headlining, a thin fabric, has come loose and is hanging down over a significant area of the van. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I might reattach it?
chas
Hi geoff47- Some headlinings are suspended with a form of wire work, and if this is the case I think you might have some trouble doing it yourself, however if you can establish that it is glued on and has decided to start comeing away from the steel roof of the cab I would recover with new headling. I had this happen with my old van , a C.F. and fetch off the old lining and saved it as a template, I purchased some new carpet type flexable headling and use some thixotropic ? contact adhesive to refix. Its a tricky job ,but done carefully it really improves the appearance of the cab, particuly if the old headling was smoke stained. Good luck, chas
