Colin Leake
Talking to a couple opposite us. They had a pneumatic awning. Went out on a hot day came back and found it collapsed. According to someone else on the site there was a loud bang and one panel had exploded ripping the fabric of the beam. He did say he just may have over pressurised it! Same chap crawled in to garage at the back to reach something and the wind blew the door shut behind him trapping him inside! So a double warning don't over inflate you awning and don't crawl into the garage unless you are sure the door has been secured.
Robbo
A bit like the old hemp guy ropes used on tents. Loosen them off when it starts raining, otherwise the canvas could tear ( or peg pop out ). Mind you, a friend of mine adhered to this advice, but the guy ropes were already saturated. There was a sudden gust of wind and the tent fell down 8-)
