globebuster
Do you feel that you need to do more than bed down with sika? - good stuff but pretty tenacious, if you ever had to remove again! Whilst not a lover of Silicone based products, that might be a better option in this instance, where I assume your looking for void filling as well as adhesion to either substrate. So, back to the rubber option - use a good density closed cell foam, if you want to take that route.... Can be purchased in various thicknesses, but I think you might be complicating things. Alternatively, reinforce the actual mounding prior to installation - perhaps? Difficult to advise without seeing to job in question.
bhillhct
Cost of the new tray was £409 inc shipping and sourced by Brownhills and thanks for your tips everyone I will use the same bonding agent I used to bed down the solar panel mounts as it gives you sufficient working time to move the tray into position before setting. . I know it will make it difficult to remove the tray again but at 71 who cares! Thanks again to all contributors - your ideas have really helped me make my mind up.
