LucyK
Hello Has anyone stopped overnight at Dover recently? I was told you used to be able to park after 7pm on the esplanade but not sure of the situation now. We have an early ferry tomorrow so we're planning to travel tonight and sleep there. Thanks! StuartO
If you just want a nightstop, the Aire at the Canterbury Park & Ride on New Dover Road is a good bet, although at this time of year it will probably be chock-a-block. Only £3 per 24 hours. A better bet for us was the Canterbury Camping & Caravan Club Site, which is large and spacious, and for £20 or so we got a good nights sleep. Less than 30 minutes to Dover Port. We have used a CL just off the A20 close to Dover but that was noisy and down very narrow access roads so never again. Len Salisbury
Try Hawthorn Farm Campsite up the flyover from the Port A2 to the roundabout right turn and after about 2 miles feft turn on Station road £20 per night.
AndyLou
Have a look at searchforsites.co.uk They are showing the esplanade and a car park at Maison Dieu Road. Good looking pub, 5 mins from ferry, serving Indian food called the Swingate Hotel & Nameste. Free parking if you eat.
