Cattwg
This information was taken off the www.go-motorhoming.blogspot.com website today. I have edited it to make it more manageable for the forum. Although the Go-Motorhoming site does not actually say so, as they refer to it as a 'stopover' I am assuming that overnight parking allows overnight sleeping. BURY ST. EDMUNDS Specialist parking spaces are provided in the heart of this historic market town – in the Ram Meadow car park. An all day stay is charged at £1.20, there are no height restrictions at the site and public toilets lie close-by. I have checked (that's Go-Motorhoming, not me), overnight parking is permitted - it does not say in the press release. Cllr Terry Clements, council Portfolio Holder for Transport, Planning and Leisure, said: "St Edmundsbury has really gone the extra mile by providing these specialist spaces in the heart of the town centre to give visitors easy access to the sights and sounds of Bury St Edmunds. We are delighted to be able to offer dedicated parking for motor homes – which is fairly unique in the UK – and hope it will encourage even more tourists to visit the borough." St Edmundsbury is the first council in Suffolk to provide specialist motorhome spaces. For more information about the tourist attractions available in the borough, or for directions to Ram Meadow, visit www.stedmundsbury.gov.uk. Seasons Greetings to all. Don Madge
The details of the stop over at Bury were posted here at the end of October. It won't do any harm to air them again though. Don
