Suda
Please could fellow motorhomers tell me how much of the N10 is now a toll road. Not headed to Spain for a few years and wondered from where to where, along it, is the toll section. Thankyou.

The N10 is free all the way from Chartres (N10/D910) all the way to just north of Bordeaux then change to the free section of the A10 to just South of Bordeaux and then follow the A63 to Bayonne which does have a toll on it. Dave225
There is a new (in the last couple of years) motorway between Bordeaux and the Spanish border. It is now virtualy 3 lane all the way so a lot easier to pass the convoys of trucks. Yes, to pay for this tolls have been introduced,, but they are not that expensive in the greater scheme of things and the time saved (and probably fuel0 balances things a good bit. Get a toll tag and whizz through the tolls with barely stopping and it is a relative breeze nowadays. The worst bits are around Bayonne to the border where toll barriers are seemingly every few miles, all charging a very small fee. One wonders why they bother. We even had one at St Jean de Luz where the charge was 90 cents. The N10 from Bordeaux to Poitiers is a free road but can be very busy with seemingly endless convoys of tru, cks, if you are unlucky. There are also fewer stopping places if your outfit is large, so the autoroute equivalent may be a better bet depending on your circumstances.
