Claud Monet
I have a Falcon sat Nav specifically for a motorhome. Visiting France via Poole to Cherbourg ferry crossing and then via Poitiers /France. Unfortunately the Sat Nav does nor recognise there is a crossing from a Poole to Cherbourg. It keeps sending me to Portsmouth even when I manually locate Poole ferry! Is this normal ? Do other sat Nav models have the same maps?
Agaric
It's two different journey legs, so you should just do home to Poole then Cherbourg onward. The sat-nav does not see a road between those two points unless it has those points specifically linked as a crossing.
mildi
As I remember the Snooper offers the option of avoid ferry in which case it offers the tunnel, must have a look at the Garmin as not sure what this does.
Colin Leake
When we are on the Isle of White and set a destination on the Main Land my TomTom always asks if I Would like to avoid toll charge! I'll try saying yes one day just to see what it does! We've booked c Cottage over there in October.
